PRE-APPLICATION/SKETCH SCHEMES

Under the NPPF (National Planning Policy Framework) it is recommended that a pre-application be carried out with the local Authority for projects of one house and above and/or commercial undertakings.  The pre-application process offers an informal discussion with the Planning Officers his offering an insight into the Local Authorities assessment of the potential for development.  The application holds a minimal fee however, provides important advice and information for a client prior to committing to a full planning scheme.  The pre-application offers a valuable opportunity to obtain the opinion of the Planning Officer and reassure the client prior to committing to development projects.
